About The Position

Texas Oncology is seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) to support the Flower Mound location. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with a mission to make the best available cancer care accessible to all communities. We use leading-edge technology and research to deliver high-quality, high-touch, evidence-based cancer care. Texas Oncology treats half of all Texans diagnosed with cancer annually.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Minimum 5 years actively practicing as a registered nurse.
  • 3 years of oncology experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership experience required.
  • OCN certification preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or MSN preferred.
  • OCN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives
  • Collaborates with practice management to provide support on operational projects such as site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments, Advancing Care Information, the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other special projects as assigned.
  • Facilitates the implementation and/or utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices
  • Facilitates implementation of standardized best practices within the organization.
  • Ensures practice standards of care are consistent with community standards of care.
  • Ensures the incorporation of clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards.
  • Assess staffing levels and issues, patient flow, current practices in the clinical setting.
  • Assists with the development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.
