About The Position

SMP Health – St. Catherine North is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Manager to lead their Memory Care Unit at St. Catherine North. This leadership role is ideal for a nurse who has a passion for caring for individuals living with dementia and other memory-related conditions and is committed to creating a meaningful, person-centered environment for residents. As the Nurse Manager, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Memory Care Unit while supporting residents, families, and team members. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality care, mentoring staff, and helping residents live with dignity, purpose, and comfort throughout their journey.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota
  • Comfortable using electronic medical record systems

  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, memory care, or dementia care preferred
  • Passion for serving individuals living with dementia and memory-related diagnoses
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities
  • Commitment to person-centered care and quality outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership for the Memory Care Unit
  • Oversee resident care and ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations
  • Lead, coach, and support nursing staff to promote quality care and positive resident outcomes
  • Conduct resident assessments and participate in care planning processes
  • Monitor resident conditions and collaborate with providers regarding changes in care needs
  • Partner with families to support resident well-being and address concerns
  • Promote person-centered approaches to dementia and memory care
  • Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of nursing staff
  • Support regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create an engaging and supportive environment for residents
