As Nurse Manager, you will oversee clinical operations for an outpatient cancer center known for its exceptional patient experience and dedicated care teams. This position requires an experienced leader who is comfortable operating with a high level of independence and professional judgment in an off-site clinic environment. In this role, you'll provide leadership that supports clinical quality, operational efficiency, staff development, and an outstanding patient experience. You will serve as a visible presence for both patients and team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program, Master's degree in related field within 5 years of hire.
- 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment required.
- License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
- Valid Virginia Driver’s license required for managers with responsibility operations in multiple locations.
- Must have applicable specialty certification at hire or within 3 years.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily clinical and operational activities for the Cancer Center.
- Support and mentor a team of highly experienced oncology clinicians dedicated to exceptional patient care.
- Drive quality outcomes, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and administrative partners to optimize care delivery.
- Monitor staffing, workflow, resource utilization, and departmental performance metrics.
- Foster employee engagement, professional development, and retention within a tight-knit and supportive team culture.
- Champion initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for patients receiving complex oncology services.
