The Nurse Manager (NM) provides visionary servant leadership to clinical teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and whole person care in alignment with AdventHealths mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations, quality outcomes, and strategic goals of the unit, the NM ensures the delivery of safe compassionate and evidence-based care. Adhering to the highest professional standards, the NM is knowledgeable of and complies with the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, the ANA Scope and Standard for Nursing Practice, as well as the rules and regulations of all applicable accrediting bodies. This role champions professional development, supports shared decision-making, and promotes a positive healing environment rooted in integrity, accountability, and spiritual purpose. This role involves coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading both professional and technical teams to deliver exceptional services. The NM collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patients experience and advocates for safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
  • 1 Year of clinical experience [Required]
  • 1 year of related experience [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Responsibilities

  • Oversees staff performance, manages staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing and understands healthcare finance.
  • Leads and supports performance and quality improvement initiatives, implements evidence-based practice changes, and ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision-making, problem-solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high-quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery.
