Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Five years of clinical experience including two years in area of specialization
- Ongoing Current RN Registration
- BLS required at hire or transfer until ACLS obtained if applicable. BLS renewal not required once ACLS is obtained.
- NRP upon hire or Obstetrics and/or transfer
- Evidence of Fetal Monitoring course completion prior to orientation completion
- C-EFM within 18 months for new hires/transfers
Nice To Haves
- one year in nursing leadership position preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of patient care and patient flow.
- Consults with staff, physicians and other hospital Leaders to ensure patient needs are met and quality outcomes are achieved.
- Works under the direction of the Nursing Director.
- Plays an integral role in patient flow, throughput and clinical operations.
- Assists in overseeing all Performance Improvement activities.
- Maintains oversight and monitoring of plans for improvement of clinical services; patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
- Collaborates and problem solves with the Nursing Administrator, physicians, Department Heads and house supervision to assure that patient care needs as related to other departments/disciplines are met.
