About The Position

The Maternal Newborn Service at Beverly Hospital provides a full scope of perinatal care in collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This includes prenatal evaluation, intrapartum care for labor and birth, intraoperative and recovery care for operative deliveries, postpartum care, maternal/newborn care as a couplet dyad for well babies, and special care for premature and newborns requiring a higher level of care. The department features strong interdisciplinary collaboration among labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, a Level IIB special care nursery, a parent education department, and a lactation consultation service. The Nurse Manager position reports to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and professional practice of assigned maternal-newborn units. This leadership role involves partnering with interdisciplinary stakeholders to ensure high-quality care delivery, staff engagement, and excellent patient outcomes. The Nurse Manager operates within the Beverly Hospital Professional Practice Model, the MA Nurse Practice Act, and ANA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
Current Massachusetts RN license
BLS certification
Minimum of five years of inpatient nursing experience in Maternal Newborn Services
At least two years of nursing leadership experience
Strong clinical knowledge, organizational ability, and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency
Vaccination against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
