About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager I to lead the Catheterization Laboratory at our client's hospital in Happy Valley, OR. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage a dynamic clinical team, optimize patient outcomes, and drive operational excellence in a high-acuity, specialized environment. The successful candidate will provide clinical oversight, staff development, and strategic leadership while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in Oregon (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing experience in acute care, hospital setting
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Interventional Cardiology or Cath Lab
  • Minimum 2 years of formal nursing leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac care protocols, equipment, and procedures
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead under pressure
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare IT systems
  • Current, active RN license in Oregon or eligibility to obtain one immediately
  • Minimum 2 years of direct Cath Lab nursing management experience
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in interventional cardiology nursing
  • Ability to work onsite full-time at the Happy Valley, OR location

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Business Administration (MBA/MHA)
  • Certified Nurse Manager credential (CNL or similar)
  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a large, integrated healthcare system
  • ACLS and BLS certifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical and operational leadership to the Cath Lab nursing team
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
  • Monitor patient safety metrics, quality indicators, and clinical outcomes
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing protocols and best practices
  • Recruit, hire, schedule, and supervise nursing and support staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities
  • Manage departmental budget, staffing resources, and operational expenses
  • Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality improvement, and employee engagement
  • Respond to and resolve clinical and operational issues promptly
