Human resources responsibilities include staffing based on patient care needs, conducting performance reviews, promoting professional growth and development, facilitating new staff orientation, and supporting shared decision-making. The position also involves incorporating customer needs into operations, promoting team building, preparing and managing operating and capital budgets, and identifying patient care requirements based on acuity and guidelines. Professional accountability includes involvement in professional organizations, hospital committees, staying current with professional activities, and educating staff on the chain of command. The Nurse Manager acts as a role model and mentor, adheres to ethical and legal standards, and participates in evaluations and development plans.
