About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Emergency Department (ED) to provide both clinical and operational leadership within a high-acuity Emergency Department setting. Reporting to senior nursing leadership, this role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care, managing departmental operations and staffing, and driving clinical excellence and performance outcomes. The Nurse Manager will lead initiatives related to staff performance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
  • Kansas RN license or Compact RN license (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department leadership experience in an acute care setting (required)
  • Experience must be within the past year

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Candidates pursuing BSN must complete within 2 years of hire
  • Required within 90 days of hire: ACLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ENPC or PALS
  • Charge Nurse ED experience may be considered
  • Manager-level experience in a high-acuity facility strongly preferred
  • Strong Emergency Department leadership experience
  • Background in high-volume, high-acuity hospital settings
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex operations
  • Expertise in trauma and emergency nursing care
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and staff engagement

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and staffing of the Emergency Department
  • Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care

  • Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivery and patient outcomes
