LPN Pyramid Healthcare – New River Valley Inpatient, you’ll provide hands-on nursing care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders and behavioral health concerns while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team. Requirements
- Current, active LPN license in Virginia
- Compassionate, dependable, and clinically minded nursing professional
Nice To Haves
- Interest or experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, withdrawal management, or addiction recovery is a plus.
- New graduates and nurses transitioning into behavioral health are encouraged to explore this opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and clinical support in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
- Complete nursing assessments, screenings, observations, admissions, and clinical documentation.
- Administer medications and monitor effectiveness, client response, and potential side effects.
- Monitor and support withdrawal management, including CIWA, COWS, and other clinical assessment tools as appropriate.
- Provide medication and health education to clients and families.
- Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers with assessments, medication management, and treatment planning.
- Monitor changes in client condition and communicate significant clinical findings to the treatment team.
- Maintain medications, medical equipment, and clinical supplies according to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote continuity of care and successful treatment outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and complete required training and documentation.
