About The Position
The LPN serves as a charge nurse leader at a skilled nursing facility, providing direct patient care and oversight of nurse aides. The role promotes excellent care delivery on nursing units and helps ensure the needs of residents, their families, and nursing aides are met. The facility is hiring for full-time, part-time, and PRN day and night positions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current nursing license in the state where practicing.
- Maintain licensure by completing continuing education requirements and maintain CPR certification.
- Sincere desire to work with older adults and enjoy working directly with residents, staff, and families.
- Good organizational skills and follow-up when patient situations require it.
Responsibilities
- Assist with responsibility for total patient care within the nursing unit and management of the unit.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients.
- Carry out administrative and patient care duties as directed by the ADON or DON.
- Supervise nurse associates and take responsibility for their actions and care, including monitoring and responding to applicable policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders specific to each patient.
- Instruct and observe care implementation according to clinician direction or standard practice.
- Assist with and direct the patient admission and discharge process.
