About The Position

Symetria Recovery is the #1 outpatient rehab in Illinois and Texas, founded on the principles that addiction is a disease, co-occurring mental health conditions should be addressed, and patients deserve respect. We provide comprehensive substance abuse treatment with a focus on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in a welcoming outpatient setting. Our bundled-service delivery model offers unlimited clinical services, including MAT, medically monitored psychiatric care, individual therapy, group therapy (IOP), 6-day-per-week nursing care, and ongoing aftercare. We administer FDA-approved medications for addiction, including Buprenorphine products and Methadone.

Requirements

  • Current valid LPN or RN license in the state of Illinois.
  • 1-year experience as an LPN or RN required.
  • Experience dispensing, handling, ordering, and stocking medications, required.
  • Experience using KIPU or other EMR, required.
  • Experience working as an LPN or RN in a substance abuse treatment (preferably MAT) or behavioral health setting, required.
  • Knowledge of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of recovery process and terminology, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a leading role in treatment decisions by working closely with the Director of Nursing, Medical Provider, clinical staff, and Program Director.
  • Dispense medications and ensure appropriate medical care is administered for patients in recovery.
  • Engage in daily interactions with patients to provide support and improve their health and well-being.
  • Monitor patient vital signs for dose changes and other physical health information, maintaining accurate records.
  • Collect blood samples from patients and attend to their physical needs.
  • Administer injectable medications, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery, educating clients on side effect management, and obtaining pre-authorization of prescriptions/medications from the pharmacy when needed.
  • Administer and read PPD, pregnancy tests, tuberculosis screening tests, and drug screens on patients and document results.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts of all medicines and medical supplies, ensuring timely ordering of replacements, and reconciling inventory of Methadone, Suboxone, and Subutex at the conclusion of dosing.
  • Follow all Symetria policies, state regulations, federal guidelines, and DEA regulations.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the work schedule and as assigned.
