About The Position

Our Med Surg Department is looking for a Nurse Intern to join their team! Hours will vary between 12-24 hours per week Shift times: 7PM-7AM 7AM-7PM The Nurse Intern (NI) is a nursing student who is currently enrolled in a nursing program leading to a Registered Nurse, or who has failed the licensure exam and is awaiting a re-take of the exam and will then be identified as a Nurse Technician. The Nurse Intern always functions under the DIRECT and PRESENT supervision of the RN.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Active certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) preferred.
The student nurse will be in their fourth (4th) semester of a two year Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program or in the fourth (4th) year of a four year Bachelors Degree of Nursing (BSN) program.
Completion of basic clinical skills as required by their current nursing program.
Graduate nurses who receive notification of failure of State Boards shall practice under the position description (NT).
BLS Certification required.
