PACU – Professional Development/Educator
About The Position
The Nurse in Professional Development (NPD) works collaboratively with the leadership team to conduct needs assessments and gap analyses and identify interventions to address performance gaps. The NPD develops, plans, and implements education that supports professional growth, skill development, initial and ongoing competence, and attainment of standards of care for direct care providers, with the goal of enhancing patient safety. The role evaluates intervention outcomes with a focus on quality, safety, and staff development. The NPD collaborates with the educator and leadership team to implement changes and establish clinical accountabilities that support organizational success.
Requirements
- Three years of recent clinical experience in an acute care specialty setting.
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Basic Life Support/CPR (BLS).
- Florida Registered Nurse (FL RN) license.

- Specialty certification.
