About The Position
At CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, patients are at the heart of our care. Our campus is designed to heal the body, mind and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services include a new pavilion featuring enhancements in heart and vascular care, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. As a Campus Float Nurse at CHI Health, you will bring your clinical expertise to provide exceptional patient care across multiple units. Every day, you will build trust in these interactions by presenting a positive attitude and by being reliable. Your success in this role comes from your knowledge to provide care to various disease processes in a variety of situations ranging from minor to critical while being able to consistently remain calm and positive.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska/Iowa or compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 5 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- One year of RN experience preferred
- Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN)
- Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
- Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
