Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Two (2) years RN Med/Surg experience.
  • Registered Nurse: NV
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC-Nat'l
  • Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, often from specialized service lines like cardiac, orthopedic, or critical care, continuously building your education and experience.
  • Perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage complex care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adapting to rapidly changing needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients from adolescent to geriatric.
  • Assist with managing patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
