About The Position
As a Nurse Extern at Henry Ford Health’s Warren Campus, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide essential patient care and help ensure patients’ safety and comfort. You will contribute input to care planning and implementation, respond to emergent situations according to established procedures, and participate in continuing education to enhance your nursing skills. This role is intended for nursing students seeking hands-on experience while contributing to patient care in a supportive healthcare environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, or current enrollment in the Henry Ford Health Early College Program with completion of two clinical rotations.
- Enrollment in an accredited school of nursing with completion of two clinical rotations, including one in Med/Surg in an acute care setting.
- Current Health Care Provider Certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Registered Nurse in providing patient care to meet safety and comfort needs.
