This Nurse Extern role assists in providing basic and intermediate nursing care to assigned groups of patients across various units. These units include General Nursing Units (caring for patients aged 15 years to maturity), Special Care Areas (for patients aged 15 years through adult with high-risk conditions), Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery for pregnancy-related conditions, Nursery for newborns, and Pediatric for neonates through age fourteen), and the Emergency Unit (providing care to patients of all ages). The extern is required to work at least eight hours per week, with shifts available in increments of 4, 8, 10, and 12 hours as assigned. The position involves completing established competencies within a designated introductory period and performing other related duties. This vital role focuses on providing essential assistance and comfort to patients, aiming to ensure they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey, and is considered a crucial part of the caring team.
