About The Position
The Nurse Extern is a student enrolled in a professional nursing education program and wishes to acquire experiential learning opportunities to practice skills they have learned in their academic program under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. This is a Per diem opportunity. Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, Florida. It is a 235-bed, acute care hospital, owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., a highly respected healthcare management organization. Requirements
- High school graduate including ability to read, write, and working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong communication skills in order to relate to staff and patients.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Enrollment in a professional nursing education program for one year.
- Letter of recommendation from faculty member of school in attendance.
