About The Position
The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited RN program and actively taking steps to obtain RN license.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.
- Participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation.
- Reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
