The incumbent performs Sexual Assault Victim Examinations on victims/survivors of sexual violence crimes, ensuring organizational excellence and providing sensitivity and understanding to promote recovery and healing. This role involves conducting physical medical or forensic examinations, collecting evidence and lab specimens, and providing medical advice and referrals in accordance with the SAVE program protocol. The team sees male and female victims of sexual assault ages 13-17 if assaulted by a non-caregiver, and male and female victims ages 18-100. The position requires participation in a 24-hour on-call rotation, maintaining thorough medical records, attending team meetings and trainings, and potentially providing expert testimony.
