About The Position

Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs. Functions independently to collaborate, assess, identify and meet the educational needs of Hospital staff to maintain and improve competence in their defined roles and provide opportunities for staff fulfillment of regulatory agency requirements. Responsible for the design and implementation of effective educational programs through application of adult learning principles and utilizing multiple teaching approaches including blended learning, to meet multiple staff learning styles. Creates or revises pertinent educational programs, coordinates implementation of course content, monitors participant progress and evaluates overall effectiveness of programs. Participates in and contributes to interdisciplinary performance improvement activities. Integrates evidence-based practice and nursing theory into education interventions. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in Florida
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
  • ACLS through the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years of education experience
  • Critical Care or Emergency Room experience
