About The Position

Nurse Educators provide educational experiences that promote competent nursing practice and quality patient care. They facilitate orientation for new nursing employees and help them assimilate into their new roles. Nurse Educators also support nursing staff in acquiring knowledge and skills and pursuing professional development.

The position is in UHS Nursing Education and is scheduled for 36 hours per week on the day shift. Compensation is $40.70–$61.05 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Three years of nursing practice experience in a clinical setting.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• CPR certification within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Professional nursing certification in Professional Development.
• Professional certification in another nursing area.
