The CVOR Education Coordinator position is a dual role, with responsibilities split 50/50 between education and circulating in the Operating Rooms (ORs). This requires prior OR or Peri-Op nursing experience. The role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating orientation and educational programs for both professional and ancillary personnel. A key function is ensuring an appropriate process is in place to document staff competencies and skills validations. The position also involves monitoring and evaluating efforts to maintain departmental standards of performance, participating in activities to promote efficiency and effectiveness of services and work processes, and assuming a leadership role in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and employee relations. The role embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency.
