Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Acute care leadership: Proven experience leading as a Director of Nursing, DON, or RN Director within an acute care hospital environment.
  • Resource management expertise: Specialized experience in staffing, labor management, and scheduling, specifically overseeing complex areas like float pools, house supervisors, or contingent staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead unit workflows and resource allocation to ensure every patient receives seamless, high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Create strategic departmental goals that elevate clinical standards while ensuring our practice remains at the forefront of ethical and legal excellence.
  • Champion the patient experience by overseeing comprehensive care plans and clinical activities, ensuring every voice is heard and every concern is resolved with empathy.
  • Cultivate a high-performing clinical team through intentional hiring, mentorship, and continuous learning initiatives that empower staff to reach their full potential.
  • Manage departmental health by overseeing budgets and quality audits, ensuring our resources are used effectively to sustain long-term operational excellence.
