About The Position

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Nurse Consultant – Infection Control to provide expert clinical leadership and specialist advice across Country Health Connect. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of infection prevention and control programs, ensuring best practice standards are embedded across community health services. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will provide education, support quality improvement initiatives, manage infection risks and contribute to organisational safety and accreditation requirements. This is an opportunity to use your specialist expertise to influence practice, strengthen infection prevention systems and support safe, high-quality care across the Limestone Coast.

Requirements

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practising certificate.
  • A minimum of three years' post-registration experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Experience developing, implementing and delivering education, training and competency-based assessments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
  • A current South Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Willingness to travel across Country Health Connect sites as required.
  • A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.
  • DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A.
  • SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy.
