About The Position

The Nurse Consult RN facilitates and assists providers and the health care team in delivering excellent service and quality patient care. The role performs and coordinates patient care activities in multiple settings using a variety of nursing skills and functions. The position reports to the Practice Manager, with additional instructions and guidance provided by the physicians or providers with whom the RN works. Work takes place at a workstation desk and in patient exam and treatment rooms, where space may be limited or confined. The role involves working both independently and closely with others, and may include irregular hours, overtime, and stressful conditions.

Requirements

Current Washington state nursing licensure under RCW 18.88 or licensure through the Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB 5499).
Maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting or specialized experience important to the function of the department.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, daily direction, and supervision to the health care team in delivering quality patient care, and communicate effectively with team members.
Coordinate patient flow and assist the health care team in providing patient care.
Coordinate patient follow-up and education.
Serve as a resource and decision-maker for staff regarding patient care problems, and participate in training health care staff.
Serve as a liaison with other health care agencies or services to promote coordinated care across the continuum.
Maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance.
