About The Position

We are looking for a Nurse Communicator (Critical Care) to lead critical conversations that support shared decision-making between patients, families, and the care team in the ICU. You will serve as a trusted bridge—translating complex medical information, prognosis, and goals of care with clarity, compassion, and expertise. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate family meetings, support palliative care consultations, and improve the critical care experience. You will also shape and advance communication practices through mentorship, quality improvement initiatives, and innovative care models in critical care settings.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
2 years of relevant clinical experience in ICU nursing.
Experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record.
Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
ACLS certification.
Bi-annual CPR certification.
