Under the provision of Shared Health - Emergency Response Services, the Adult Interfacility Transport Team will provide superior quality transport services for patients requiring advanced life support or critical care management to definitive care by way of air ambulance and/or ground transportation. As a member of the Adult Interfacility Transport Team in collaboration with medical control, the Transport Nurse Clinician N3 (TNC) and Advanced Practice Respiratory Therapists (APRTs) are responsible for triaging, providing guidance to the referring facility, determining safest method of transportation, and delivering critical care support until patient care is relinquished to the accepting facility for critical care transport requests. The Adult Interfacility Transport TNC is responsible for providing accessible, responsive, and integrated patient care at all times. They collaborate with health care providers, allied emergency service agencies, and other community agencies. This role is responsible for the safe, effective operation and use of vehicles and equipment as per Manitoba Provincial Regulations, Acts, and Shared Health policy. The Adult Interfacility Transport TNC will be expected to conduct themselves professionally, ethically, and demonstrate commitment to the mission, vision, values, goals, objectives, and policies of Shared Health.
