About The Position

We are currently looking for a Primary Care Nurse with RN (AAP) licensure holding demonstrated ability to apply Additional Authorized Practice standards & competencies to diagnose & treat Limited Common Medical Disorders as identified in the Clinical Decision Tools. The practice involves working within the nursing program objectives, guidelines, and policies and procedures; building partnerships, completing community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration; and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. Requirements

  • Additional Authorized Practice (AAP) designation.
  • Registered/Eligible for registration with CRNS as an RN(AAP).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS).
  • Assessment skills.
  • Decision making skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search (required at time of interview).

Nice To Haves

  • In the event there are no fully qualified applicants, The Saskatchewan Health Authority would be willing to sponsor current employees who are Registered Nurses and want to take the required Advanced Authorized Practice Program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic with an anticipated completion date of July 1, 2026. This course is a requirement to work as a RN-AAP in Saskatchewan.
