The Nursing Associate functions within the interdisciplinary team to assist in the care of a group of patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. At HFSC, we are a family. Requirements

  • Nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited Connecticut nursing school program that has completed a minimum of 100 hours of theoretical and clinical instruction in the fundamental skills of nursing.
  • Ability to read, write and understand instructions in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Reports pertinent patient information to appropriate team members.
  • Documents in a timely and accurate manner adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Completes specific assigned tasks, sets priorities for daily tasks, prioritizes and completes assigned tasks as delegated.
