About The Position
As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will assist in patient care, respond to emergent situations, and contribute to the overall well-being of those we serve. Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course OR Foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR At least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
- Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
- Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
- Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
