About The Position

The Nurse Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. This role contributes directly to patient comfort, safety, and quality of care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Must have one of the following: six months of experience in patient care in a healthcare setting; State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in Ohio; nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts; or current employee with Kettering.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient care or administrative support.
• Prior experience as a nurse assistant, nursing aide, or in a healthcare setting.
• Active and in-good-standing State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in Ohio.
