The Nursing Resource Pool (NRP) is comprised of various Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and Patient Observation Aides who are deployed throughout the hospital to assist short-staffed areas. The Nurse Assistant in the Staffing Office Float Pool provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, following the established plan of care, unit routines, and hospital policies. Key responsibilities include the safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, managing dispatch services, and accurately documenting services. The role also involves providing constant observation for patients requiring it, either in person or through remote video monitoring, to enhance their safety. Additionally, the Nurse Assistant performs general receptionist and clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the nursing unit and meticulously documents all provided care in the electronic medical record.
