About The Position

The Nurse Assistant Instructor will be responsible for providing academic and career technical trade instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic and trade goals. This role is crucial in motivating and counseling students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits, and coordinating with counselors and staff to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction. The instructor will also develop and prepare lessons, maintain a safe training environment, and participate in student assessment panels, performing required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.

Requirements

Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state of employment by a professional trade organization.
Specific requirements as required in designated vocational training.
Ability to follow the CDPH approved curriculum and manage up to 15 students in theory and clinicals.
A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
Participate in student assessment panels, perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.
