About The Position

The Helper Bees is seeking an independent contracted nurse to complete face-to-face cognitive and functional assessments with clients in their homes. The role involves completing structured assessments accurately and efficiently, objectively observing and reporting each individual’s current status, and coordinating scheduling with the client or their designated contact. Assessments must be submitted through an online application within 24 hours. The review team may request clarifications by telephone within 48 hours, and an assessment is not considered complete until all clarifications are answered. The contractor is paid $125 per completed assessment within a 35-mile radius. This per diem opportunity is intended to provide supplemental income. The work is onsite in claimants’ homes and requires a portable Windows computer or a tablet with a camera, as well as reliable internet access.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse (RN) license.
• At least 5 years of experience as an RN.
• Familiarity with a broad range of medications and conditions common in the geriatric population.
• Reliable internet access for submitting assessments.
• A portable computer running Windows or a tablet with a camera.
• Current proficiency with computers and ability to learn technology quickly.
• Prompt and thoughtful communication.
• Friendly, compassionate, dedicated, and patient personality.

Nice To Haves

• Previous quality assurance or chart audit/review experience.
