Salisbury, MD 21804 - Onsite Nurse Assessor - 1099 (RN) Contract $125 Per Assessment
About The Position
The Helper Bees partners with insurance carriers and health plans to help older adults remain independent, healthy, and at home. This is a per-diem opportunity for an independent contracted nurse to earn supplemental income. Assessments are conducted face to face in claimants’ homes. The Nurse Assessor completes in-depth cognitive and functional assessments, using structured processes and focusing on accuracy and efficiency. The assessor objectively observes and reports the individual’s current status, coordinates scheduling with the client or their point of contact, and submits each assessment through an online application within 24 hours. The review team may request clarifications by telephone within 48 hours; an assessment is not complete until all clarifications are answered. Compensation is $125 per completed assessment within a 35-mile radius. A portable Windows computer or a tablet with a camera and reliable internet access are needed. After the initial application, additional steps are required to verify the applicant’s license and provide scheduling information. The scheduling team will contact candidates when work becomes available in their area.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- At least 5 years of experience as an RN.
- Familiarity with medications and conditions common in the geriatric population.
- Reliable internet access for submitting assessments.
- Quick technology learner and current proficiency with computers.
- Friendly, compassionate, dedicated, and patient personality.
- Prompt and thoughtful communication.
Nice To Haves
- Previous quality assurance or chart audit/review experience.
