About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a Nurse Apprentice to join our incredible nursing team. This position is for our ICU located at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise! Our Regional Medical Center is located off I-184 and Curtis Rd. You will work in the ICU provide care in a 21 bed unit to a mixed patient population needing critical care. This is a fast paced, high-pressure environment that will care for some of the area’s highest acuity patients needing neuro, medical, surgical and trauma care. Schedule: 3 shifts every two weeks from 7pm-7:30am. Must be flexible to work a varied schedule that consists of weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed. WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients under the direction and supervision of the RN.

Requirements

Maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing required
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).
