About The Position
Management of patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively under the supervision of staff anesthesiologists.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in advanced nursing practice is required
- Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable
- Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position
- Current and clear license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
Responsibilities
- Performs a complete health history, preanesthetic assessment and anesthetic care plan for each patient.
- Implement an anesthetic care plan
- Communication Information

- Demonstrate professional accountability
- Documentation on Anesthesia Operative Record
