About The Position
The Nurse Aide works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. This role is in the MSP/Detox department at Gouverneur Hospital and is scheduled for 24 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts primarily at night and variable scheduling as needed.
Requirements
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of hire.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Evidence of successful completion of a nurse aide training course at hire.
- Previous experience as a Nurse Aide.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document direct, comprehensive, family- and patient-centered care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Provide world-class customer service to patients and families.
- Report patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to support positive patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, patient- and family-centered environment.
