Nurse Aide Student
About The Position
This is a six (6) week paid training program (up to 29 hours a week) including classroom and clinical settings with the goal of successful completion of the state certification exam and therefore remaining at DMVCC as an employed Certified Nursing Assistant. The classroom hours will be Monday-Friday, 9:00am-2:30pm and clinical hours will be 6:45am-3:15pm. Participants must attend class as scheduled, complete assignments as scheduled, and interact with instructors, peers, staff, and residents in a professional and courteous manner. They will participate in and complete clinical assignments as scheduled and follow facility policies and procedures, and the direction of instructors and supervisors. Upon completion of class, shifts will be offered based on facility needs.
Requirements
- Applicant must be highly motivated, thoughtful, and considerate of others as a team.
- Must have a steady work record.
- Must be a citizen or national of the U.S., a Lawful Permanent Resident, or an alien authorized to work.

Nice To Haves
- High school graduate desired.
- Some type of experience working in a healthcare facility or working with elderly desired.
