Requirements

  • State Registered Nursing Assistant (SRNA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills
  • Exercises sound judgment and decisive decision‑making
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capable of functioning effectively in a fast‑paced, stressful environment
  • Takes appropriate action when faced with urgent or high‑pressure situations

Responsibilities

  • Performs selected basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Provides patient care activities and non‑professional services to support patient comfort and personal needs
  • Conducts pre‑anesthesia assessments and assists in developing patient‑specific anesthesia care plans under supervision
  • Administers and manages anesthesia (general, regional, and local) under the direction of a CRNA or anesthesiologist
  • Monitors patient vital signs and responds appropriately to changes during surgical procedures
  • Assists with airway management, including intubation and ventilation support
  • Provides post‑anesthesia care, including patient monitoring, pain management, and documentation
  • Physically assists patients and responds appropriately to patient emergencies
  • Identifies and helps resolve issues affecting the delivery of clinical services
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding patient care, patient flow, and clinical standards, policies, and procedures
  • Works collaboratively as part of a clinical care team in a fast‑paced environment
