About The Position

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long-term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Nurse Aide State Registered I, who possesses the skills and desires to care for Kentucky’s Veterans. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment. We offer flexible scheduling, holiday, weekend and shift premiums.

Requirements

Must possess current registration with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry as administered by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.

Responsibilities

Assists residents with personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, dental, oral and nail care
Assists residents with medical appointments and transports
Assists residents with bowel and bladder functions.
Performing total physical care, assisting with meals, assisting with medical appointments and transports, as well as helping to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
