Requirements

High school education or GED preferred.
Ability to read, speak and write English is also required for this position.
On-site training will be provided.
Previous long-term care experience helpful.
Prior experience working with the dementia resident preferred, and a genuine interest in the geriatric field is required.
Must be able to communicate with co-workers, residents, and the families of the residents.
Dependable, prompt, tactful, patient, a desire to work with geriatric residents.
Resident-focused at all times, while acting as a pleasant professional is essential.
Task-centeredness, punctuality, and a pleasant demeanor are beneficial to successful performance in this position.

Responsibilities

Assist with resident personal care.
Assist with dining room and feed residents.
Assisting with daily one-on-one or small group activities with the residents.
Pass waters and all needed supplies to residents such as briefs, underpants, wipes, soap, denture cups, etc.
Transport residents to and from medical appointments.
Answer call lights and assists residents as needed.
Provide daily meal assistance passing of trays.
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of resident and facility information.
Endorsing comply with the vision, objective, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village.
Take approved residents out for cigarette.
Daily resident transportation to and from dining room and activities.
All other duties as assigned.
