About The Position

Prometric is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with long-term care experience to administer the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Exam. The role gives RNs an opportunity to apply their skills outside a hospital setting by evaluating candidates pursuing CNA certification. The evaluator is also responsible for ensuring a high-quality test experience consistent with Prometric’s vision, mission, values, policies, and procedures. The position administers up to one to three test days per week, averaging eight hours per test day, at various locations within a 30-mile radius of the employee’s ZIP code. Exams are performed mainly Monday through Friday, with some Saturday and occasional Sunday examinations. The posting also states that examinations are administered within a 30–45-mile radius and that Prometric reimburses mileage beyond a 30-mile radius.

Requirements

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of operation.
One year of experience in long-term care or experience caring for chronically ill people of any age.
Intermediate to advanced technical skills and familiarity with computer programs and applications, including MS Office, Outlook, and web browsing.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Access to personal computer equipment, such as a personal computer or laptop and printer.
Valid driver’s license and a vehicle for travel to test events.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proactive, flexible, amicable, and able to solve problems independently.
Ability to travel 30 miles or more one way from the employee’s ZIP code.
Ability to stand for extended periods while administering exams and evaluating candidates, up to eight hours per event.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Proctor computerized knowledge-based examinations and objectively observe and score candidates demonstrating clinical skills.
Prepare for test events by monitoring rosters and ensuring the site is set up and cleaned up properly.
Maintain knowledge of Prometric policies and practices and control the test area accordingly.
Greet examinees and verify their identification.
Monitor candidates taking written exams or direct a proctor to administer the written exam, as applicable.
Manage the testing environment to ensure candidate flow.
Observe and rate candidates completing practical exams.
Resolve candidate issues or report them to the appropriate supervisor.
Protect exam content while administering computer-based testing.
Reboot workstations and reset passwords as needed.
Ensure a seamless candidate experience.
Report occurrences outside company guidelines to the appropriate supervisor.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with testing sites, including regional or in-facility testing sites.
Maintain the online appointment schedule to ensure event coverage.
Provide on-site leadership for candidates.
Foster professional and courteous relationships with Nurse Aide Evaluator peers.
Represent Prometric as a brand ambassador when interacting with candidates, site partners, and potential clients during test administrations.
Coordinate candidate rosters.
