About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Behavioral Health Center is a leading facility in psychiatric care, recognized for its Planetree model and Magnet designation. The Nurse Administrator is responsible for the clinical operations of the Nursing Department during their assigned shift, ensuring continuity of patient care. This role involves collaboration with Patient Care Directors, acting as a consultant to staff, and being a member of the Nursing Leadership Team. Responsibilities include managing scheduling, staffing, and supplies, as well as participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of departmental goals. The position also entails monitoring staff compliance with regulatory and hospital requirements. This role operates on nights, working Monday-Friday for 8 hours and Saturday-Sunday for 12 hours.

Requirements

  • 3 years of recent progressive leadership experience
  • Masters in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. If currently pursuing a Masters must obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in Nursing
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • All roles require on-site presence.
  • Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
  • BCLS /ACLS
