Nurse Administrator (RN) - Per Diem - Evening/Nights and Rotating Weekend Coverage
About The Position
Gracie Square Hospital, a psychiatric hospital with over six decades of experience, is seeking a Nurse Administrator (RN) for a per diem position covering evenings, nights, weekends, vacations, and holidays. The hospital is recognized for its excellence in patient-centered care, holding ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® and Planetree Gold certification. The Nurse Administrator will oversee clinical operations during their assigned shift, ensuring continuity of patient care across all units. This role involves collaboration with Patient Care Directors, acting as a consultant to staff, and addressing issues to achieve desired patient outcomes. The position offers flexible scheduling, shared clinical decision-making, and a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing
- 3 years of progressive leadership, management experience
- Current New York State Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Leadership experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the clinical operations on the assigned shift to ensure continuity of patient care for all units.
- Collaborate with Patient Care Directors and others in planning and implementing high quality, safe patient care.
- Act as a consultant to staff.
- Address identified issues, recommending ways to achieve desired outcomes.
