What you will be doing : Your role as a Nurse 2 will be multidimensional, aimed at optimizing client outcomes and controlling the spread of tuberculosis (TB) within communities. Your responsibilities play a crucial role in controlling the spread of TB and the comprehensive management of individuals diagnosed with TB. Your duties will encompass coordinating care, providing client education, assessing and monitoring clients, collaborating with team members, and performing contact investigations. Requirements

  • Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
  • Successful completion of a formal training plan as a Nurse 1 with the State of Alaska OR One year of entry level experience as a Registered Nurse
  • A valid Driver's License is required at the time of appointment.
  • A copy of a current Registered Nurse license (from any state).
  • Three (3) professional references, whom we may contact by phone, are required. One (1) of these references must be your current or most recent supervisor, if not already provided in the application.
  • Current performance evaluation, if available.
  • A copy of academic transcripts (unofficial is okay; please ensure that the institution name/URL is listed on the transcripts) is used to verify that you meet the minimum qualifications.
  • A copy of a current Alaska Registered Nurse license.
  • A copy of current driver’s license.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Documentation of immunizations or immunity to the following: Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap), Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella
  • Documentation of annual Influenza or a signed declination.
  • Documentation of complete Hepatitis B series, lab-confirmed immunity, or a signed declination for vaccination.
  • Tuberculosis screening record within the last 12 months.
