About The Position

As a Nuclear Scientist and Engineer, you will play a significant role in developing and implementing plans and strategy for a revolutionary energy startup.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering or equivalent required.
Extensive experience in nuclear reactor design, particularly for mobile applications.
Leadership experience in nuclear engineering projects.
Proficiency with relevant nuclear reactor design software.
Experience in advanced neutronics modeling and simulation.
Strong knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and licensing procedures.
Experience working with regulatory bodies such as the NRC.
Ability to design innovative, safe, and efficient nuclear reactor systems for mobile use.
Commitment to nuclear safety and implementing safety measures.
Understanding of fail-safe and fail-secure design principles.
Proficiency in materials science and thermodynamics related to nuclear reactors.
Knowledge of materials selection and radiation effects.

Nice To Haves

Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and carry out nuclear research experiments and analyze data to validate feasibility for the product designs
Design and maintain nuclear equipment, such as reactors and radiation shields
Work with safety measures in nuclear power technology and ensure they are followed
Implement new procedures, policies, work process, and standards to maximize safety and operational effectiveness
