About The Position

Under direct supervision, Nuclear Safety Engineering job functions as assigned by management. Typical job responsibilities assist and support management in nuclear safety support of operations and engineering system design. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned: Assists with tracking and trending of Nuclear Safety performance Assists with maintenance/supports Nuclear Safety operability or engineering evaluations Assists with the preparation of problem disposition reports Assists in preparing Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) Screenings and Determinations Performs reviews of Safety Basis documents Assists in preparation of new and revised Safety Basis Documents Provides assigned technical or functional support to team members Performs a variety of tasks general/routine complexity in nature Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner Actively participates in Safety Work Groups

Requirements

Internal employees must be in current position for (1) year or greater to be eligible to apply.
Radiological training is required.
Pre-Employment Physical (office or field work)
Drug Screen
The ability to obtain/maintain "L" or "Q" Clearance, or HSPD12 Uncleared badge one year from hire date
Background Check
Any site required training
Prospective employees must be available to start work with Southern Ohio Cleanup Company LLC within a reasonable time frame after acceptance of SOCCo’s offer of employment (typically 30 days or less).

Responsibilities

Assists with tracking and trending of Nuclear Safety performance
